The South East Grid (SEG) is an ultra-fast fibre network delivering services to the Public Sector across the region including schools. MLL Telecom have been appointed as the Framework supplier for the SEG Framework and now works in partnership with South East Grid for Learning and Schools ICT, to deliver a wide range of enhanced services covering resilient Janet connections and a full security overlay.
We are able to provide trusted route to connectivity which includes leading educational filtering and firewalls solutions, inline with the requirements of Keeping Children Safe in Education 2023. For more information about the SEG Framework click here.
If you purchase your broadband through SEGfL, you will also be connected to the Janet network. With 18 million users from education, public sector, science parks and research organisations, the Janet Network allows our schools to have additional services including:

About the SEG Framework
The South East Grid Framework procurement was undertaken by the South East Grid Consortium, under a restricted OJEU process. The Framework can be used by any public sector organisation in the South East region (NUTS-J). SEGfL is supporting individual and small groups of schools who wish to use the Framework for their next broadband service.

Managed Connectivity

Janet Network
Through the MLL contract, schools and academies can be directly connected to the Janet network and become part the of the NEN- the national education network through SEGfL. Benefits from being part of the Janet network include direct connectivity into Google, Microsoft, Apple, BBC and Amazon Web Services.

Each contract will be supported by the educational IT support specialists, SchoolsICT (BETT 2023 ‘Technical Support Provider’ finalists). They have vast experience in delivering services to hundreds of schools across SEGfL and have established a reputation for trustworthiness and reliability and operate with a mission to empower schools and academies with technology to enable them to deliver exceptional learning experiences.
