25th February 2020Cyber Security Briefing Event
Young people and cyber crime – a briefing for education professionals
4th May 12:30-4pm , Hilton St Anne’s Manor, Wokingham, Berkshire
SEGfL will be hosting and funding this event for those working in our region who wish to find out more about how children and young people get drawn into cyber crime and what you can do to help them. It will be delivered by specialist police officers from the South East Regional Organised Crime Unit (SE ROCU)
More and more young people are getting involved in cyber crime. Many do it for fun without realising the consequences of their actions. Cyber crime isn’t a victimless crime and is taken extremely seriously by law enforcement. The aim of this event is to show what education professionals and others involved with young people can do to understand, identify and help to educate young people about the risks.
The event is aimed at teachers, technical staff, senior leaders, governors, social and youth workers, virtual school leaders and safeguarding leads. It will will cover both primary and secondary phases.
